Museum Complex of St. Catherine
City Museum

The project regarded the entire convent complex of St. Catherine, dating back to the XIV century and then designed to be a city museum. In 2007 the archeological section was inaugurated and a lapidary, medieval fresco collection and a 16th-17th century picture gallery were planned.
The architectural design of the permanent installation proposed an exhibition solution that did not alter the structure nor the original spaces, but tended to create recognizable display areas including them in the original building envelope. These display areas are bordered by fragments of an abstract system recognizable by the visual relationship with the way the objects are displayed.
